What better way to celebrate the holidays than visiting the fam? Too bad for Kevin, he's become so used to having his harem empty his balls that he cant even go a few days without popping his cork. At least he still has privacy in his old bedroom, right?

Digging up research on our ancestors unearths bad news with the good.
Michael O’Connor was arrested for street fighting on 12/13/1880 in Cork. Because the report states he lived at 42 Gilabbey Street, on the city’s south side, I can identify him as a gr-grand uncle of mine.

As a punishment, or as a way to return her to the otherworld, the sea diety, Manannán MacLir, had his minstrel play a song to lull her to sleep and then sent an enchanted wave to bring her back into the ocean from Cork. In some stories, she drowns.

Another Dolmen for the Nordic Gnome today, Rostellan Dolmen in Co. Cork. Rostellan Dolmen is intertidal and there is some discussion if it could be a folly built as part of the no longer extant Rostellan estate. The Gnome, who could solve the mystery, is staying annoyingly quiet

Daniel Macdonald paints a village funeral in Cork. He always painted the realities of village life but with a romantic brush. His themes are right for Samhain coming - the presence of the dead among us. Thinking of the thinness in the air, the approach of winter

If there’s one team that gives Limerick plenty of trouble over the last few years, then it’s Cork. It should be a great game and a very close one too. Limerick by 3 (I hope)🤞🏼
