Hecate- Greek Goddess of Necromancy and Crossroads

A triple goddess representing the cycle of life: The maiden, the mother, and the crone. She's my favorite goddess of all time in any pantheon. Is she your favorite?

Our Ancient Goddess Hecate was a goddess of crossroads.

Hecate’s Wheel symbolizes the 3 stages of womanhood: Maiden, Mother and Crone. The Wheel symbolizes these phases with a Labyrinth, representing the power & knowledge in moving through life.

A Witch’s Devil mask is ornamental and practical, the horns represent the old horned God and the face mask resembles the Crone. The mask protects against paranormal miasma And serves as a disguise for a Witch’s true identity. https://t.co/nnxNeiWnsh

Shriekling was a spider I colored purple and poorly wrote BIRD and CAW on. Except...DD flips the enemy sprites. so now its DRIB.

Parasites were the green maggots next to the shriekling, and the deer was a green tinted Crone...except I forgot to make her transparent.

"The Morrigan is associated with revenge, the night, magic and prophecy. In many stories she appears as a trio of goddesses taking the image of maiden, mother and crone."

On I found that Maeve's incarnations aligned with the Pagan Triple Goddess: Maiden, Mother & Crone. That along with the fact that "Maeve" is the name of a Celtic goddess inspired me to depict her 3 personas divided by the Maze: "Madam, Mother & Witch"
