Tweed estuary, dawn. A #charcoal and #pastel #sketch with @SeymourPip glaze scrubbed in.
Here's a design I made based on @SpiderBoioboi's fungid species. He's a lion's mane fungid who was taken in by the monks of the Swamp Estuary. Through their guidance, he discovered his ability to read minds. He still resides in the Estuary, improving his fighting style.

@tidesntales You'd rarely hear it called the Colligan Estuary these days but that is what it is. 😀 Here's some nice Dungarvan harbour & boat images from c1828 by artist Sampson Twogood Roche. You'd recognise a lot of it. The boat is a ferry between Dungarvan & Abbeyside. 😀
RT @AntoineVanner: An epic last-stand by a British frigate against French galleys in the Thames estuary in 1707 occurred close to the end of the galley’s day as a fighting vessel – it had lasted some 2000 years since Athens’ naval greatness. https://t.co/rPQ5oXCYMP #18thCentury
My evening estuary walks are starting to appear in paintings. Leaving this one to rest for now and I’ll come back to it tomorrow.
