Weakest of the Metroid games I've played so far due to the awkward controls and the repetitive Metroid fights but still a good enough game overall with a lot of things going for it.

Metroid: Zero Mission's concept, box art, and promotional art style favored striking shadows and bold outlines, much like a comic book. This style even influenced some of the in-game sprit work and cutscenes.

We'd love to see this style return to the franchise in the future!

As my first true Metroidvania, Im very happy to have this as my intro. The atmosphere, combat and exploration are all really good, and the OST even better. I'm very optimistic about this series

Metroid: Samus Returns was a reimagining of Metroid II: Return of Samus for the GameBoy. In 2017 it released on 3DS, and was the return of a traditional 2D Metroid game, something not seen for 13 years

number twelve, after Prime 2 I decided to reward myself with a playthrough of my favourite in the series thus far, Metroid: Zero Mission.

Even the Zero Suit segment toward the end can't dampen my ardour for this one. Definitely among the top MetroidVanias IMO. <3
