It's really interesting that the interviewer refers to a character from Policenauts, since Policenauts was just released at this time. It's a phenomenon that rarely happens nowadays.
I guess Jim Houseman is also inspired by Sean Connery.

I'm glad to see that music from past games is being re-released on LP records these days. Snatcher, Policenauts, MG1, MG2, MGS1 and other soundtracks that were only available on CD are now available on LP.

I have decided to replay every Metal Gear Solid game again. MGS 3 and MGS complete. Onto MGS 2 now, then 4 and V. Intending to also do Death Stranding and maybe Policenauts. Don't really know why, but we play the psychological hands we are dealt.

According to the POLICENAUTS in the KONAMI OFFICIAL GUIDE published in 1996, Hideo Kojima and Hiromitsu Yamaguchi added the voice of AP Officer to the gunfight in the TOKUGAWA building in ACT7.
Hideo Kojima does the voice for "まだだぁ! / Not yet !."

Policenauts was also inspired by Lethal Weapon.
