On this day in 2005, SoulCalibur III was released for PS2 in NA.

It was 1st console release as this time, Japan got the port last. Also, SC3 was the last SC to be released on arcades.

The story is set in 1590 AD just as SC2 & SC4, and SC3 introduced Character Creation mode.

This is the concept art of Zasalamel, whose emblem, inherited from SC3, is an "infinite hourglass" decorated with the sun, moon and ouroboros, representing the eternal "time" in which he lives. The costume design also consists of those same motifs. (1/2)
