いろいろアレンジしてみて今の色に落ちついた。
少し暗めのカラーの方が渋みがあって個人的に好きですね。

#Librarian Ann has chosen another favourite Joseph Wolf #painting, this is her favourite depicting #mammals, last week she chose her favourite painting of birds. Wolf used the famous ZSL elephants #Jumbo & Alice as models for these African #elephants at a water hole. #SciArt
Enjoyed this brilliant video of Robert (Bob) McCracken Peck's talk about Edward Lear, his natural history art & links to ZSL. Includes some items in the collections of #ZSLLibrary. I am spending part of the #weekend trying to catch up on podcasts: https://t.co/ibS4XtBme9 #SciArt
As the natural world is the theme of #HeritageTreasuresDay we are highlighting a few art works depicting some rare species. ZSL is taking action to conserve these (and other) animals - pangolin, Chinese giant salamander, greater one-horned rhino. #SciArt #EndangeredSpecies
@W4BookFest so explored Bedford Park. Holmwood in Bedford Park was the home of Richard Bowdler Sharpe from 1879. He was ZSL #Librarian in 1867 & an ornithologist. Many of his 10 daughters worked as colourists for beautiful books about #birds & Emily Mary was an entomologist.
I've got a 3 day Animal drawing course coming up 24 - - 26 July with specimen drawing, sketching on a farm and at ZSL. Here is the link for further details for anyone who fancies it: https://t.co/UbMfLyWp9C
Illustration of Storm, a black-and-white ruffed lemur from ZSL. These lemurs considered to be the largest pollinators, as they feed, pollen sticks to the ruffs of fur around their faces and gets transported from tree to tree. Also they are sadly critically endangered!
To celebrate #InternationalDawnChorusDay we have some blackbirds from John Gould's 'Birds of Great Britain' vol. 2! ZSL Librarian, Ann, celebrated this morning with @FriendsRivCrane Blackbirds and robins started first at 4.40am with a song thrush and many wrens soon joining in.
Sarah, ZSL's Archivist, did an online chat session with some KS2 students about Joan Procter, ZSL's former Curator of Reptiles and Amphibians. Find out more about Joan Procter in Sarah's blog https://t.co/FtZy4lwnv6 #WomensHistoryMonth #WomenInScience #sciart
ZSL have sent 4 #endangered northern bald ibis to Spain ready to be released
into the wild as part of an international #conservation project. This early print of the ibis is in E Albin's Nat Hist of Birds, V. 3, 1738. More details about the project at https://t.co/DKRsHBiVbX

#HappyBirthday to John Gould who was born #OnThisDay in 1804. An eminent ornithologist, who worked here at ZSL as Curator of Birds. Gould described the birds Darwin brought back from his expedition aboard HMS Beagle, so we decided to share the famous 'Darwin's finches'!
You may have read the sad news that 8 bird species have been confirmed as becoming #extinct this decade, so we wanted to share this stunning image by Joseph Smit of one of these species. Below you can see the Spix macaw, which also featured in ZSL's Proceedings.
A watercolour sketch of Storm a black and white ruffed lemur at ZSL London! @ZSLScience @zsllondonzoo @helenscales
#DYK it's not too late to get involved in @zsllondonzoo's project to transform the iconic Snowdon Aviary into the perfect new home for our colobus monkeys? https://t.co/E5OPgyjEUw This incredible image is from ZSL's 1885 Proceedings, and is by J. Smit.
To celebrate the birth of @zsllondonzoo's two-toed sloth we wanted to share this beautiful original water colour by Keulemans with you. It went on to be published in the 1872 'Proceedings' of ZSL with the caption "1 Cholopus Hoffmanni 2 C. Didactylus"
