My first time playing AM2R and I was blown away. This game is a love letter to the franchise and has its own unique identity amongst the original game and Samus Returns. This game looks and feels so fresh, yet still retains the heart of a classic Metroid game.
I don't draw #Metroid much but it's one of my favorite series. I wanna post since anniversary but only drawings I have are a redraw of one of the scenes in the opening of AM2R from years ago. Normal and a downscaled to make it look more like GBA graphics

Hot Take: AM2R is NOT better than Samus Returns, in fact the more I examine them both the more nostalgia pandering the fan game looks.
AM2R is a PERFECT replica, but Samus Returns is a flawed EVOLUTION!

Samus Returns, quant à lui, s'imbriquera bien mieux dans une run impliquant toute la saga.

This was fantastic. Even as a Metroid 2 Fangame, id consider it an official entry, and a worthy sequel to Zero Mission. Great soundtrack of course, and controls are very well done. The additional content is varied, unique, and adds a flair that compliments Metroid perfectly
AM2R vraiment trop incroyable pour exister, il ya eu énormément de majs dont j'étais pas au courant (nouveaux assets, ennemis, patterns de boss, options, mécaniques, etc) rajoutés par la commu, dont un randomizer

On the subject of fangames living on the edge, Another Metroid 2 Remake (AM2R) is still alive and kicking, and now supports widescreen, auto-patching and more.

i won't be breaking any world records anytime, but 100% on am2r random under 2 hours has me pretty chuffed tbh
easy tho, i dont like my game to be a chore filled with bullet sponges
am2r randomiser 100% item easy, 30 goddamn minutes faster than my previous record
