Less than a day left to vote, sharing my #ambulocetus one last time (with finished art and tagged this time). Color regions can be found in the thread. https://t.co/LYlugUMfe2

I was gonna continue Ambulocetus as usual but then @edmundium made that renaissance baby imp masterpiece on the right. Surperior Noglin.
There is so much wrong here but if you're going to disprove evolution then don't describe something that kind of happened
Meet Ambulocetus, the ancestor of modern dolphins and wolves who kind of looked like a wolf https://t.co/viYQxHPFV4
I love modern whales but I wish we still had ambulocetus around😔

I hesitate to differentiate my merfolk from humans with behaviors that "evolved" along a different path. I mean... they did, it's like comparing Pakicetus to Ambulocetus. But I've always been worried that if they ACT differently than us, it'll reinforce racist narratives/tropes.
Updated because theres also a few commissions included here include a Velociraptor and an Ambulocetus. (it also had included a Doedicurus (from Ark specifically) commission for a while now) #PaleoArt #Dinosaurs
Ambulocetus is a an early amphibious cetacean, its name means "walking whale." #PaleoArt #SciArt
Commission for @KTS_Stories who requested an orca color palette.
Another to my favorite ancestor of whales, Ambulocetus natans (Walking Whale). Think of it as a crocodile-otter from the early Eocene about 50 MYA. It was thought to have lived in brackish estuaries of what is now Pakistan. Illustration by Rebecca Dart. 🤓🐉
Today's #DrawDinovember isn't a dinosaur at all, but an ancestor to whales, Ambulocetus (Walking Whale). Think of it as a crocodile-otter from the early Eocene about 50 MYA. It was thought to have lived in brackish estuaries of what is now Pakistan. #Paleoart

A few pics for #GetYourArtUnderwater: a chunky Ambulocetus, a water-mage mermaid, a drowning woman from Wait and See, and a Caranoctian Snolligoster (larval form of a false dragon).
Getting to work on this book was also a highlight. I got to explore so many subjects I normally don't paint. Here are a few of my faves that I haven't posted online. Giant squid, ambulocetus, dunkleosteus, megolodon. You can check out the book here https://t.co/lLSpDDsZ7h
