The beholder! One of my favorites from the D&D monster roster. The great illustrated this one way back when & it has remained a favorite of mine all these years. DiTerlizzi somehow manages to make it look alien, monstrous & adorable all at the same time. Pure 💯

Does anyone remember this book?
The Spider and the Fly?
The biggest change is that we gave the Tony DiTerlizzi design some hair and my buddy gave her a hawkmoth girlfriend (second pic)

This is an absolutely brilliant

“The Magical Yet” by Angela DiTerLizzi and is a brilliant book about not giving up when things are tricky. If you can’t do something the key word is YET!

The gaming industry has spawned a number of notable artists. Both Brom and Tony DiTerlizzi came to fame as the key artists of specific D&D settings (Dark Sun and Planescape) and went on to touch other fields; Tony is more famous now for the Spiderwick stories!

Leave out milk, bread, and honey and you'll have less housework to do: the brownie is a Scottish spirit that at night will tidy up the home a bit if given offerings. If ignored or offended, they become boggarts, so be kind.

I loved this piece by Denis Beauvais. Mood, composition, colours, environment, power. And Tony DiTerlizzi's work on Planescape is fantastic too. Even as he moves into paintings and away from washes, he maintains a strong "drawn" look to his work too. Worth looking at, IMO.
