Tony DiTerlizzi's cover art for Dragon magazine #242, December 1997.
One of the first artists who had an impact on me was Tony DiTerlizzi. I loved how his fairy character designs referenced real life plants and animals, to create fairies and mermaids that weren't just humans with insect wings or fish tails, but something entirely new and unique
I have no problem with orcs being good (Eberron!) but I still want them to look nasty and monsterous. I don't mind a good looking half-orc or two, but mine definitely show their heritage. Art by Tony DiTerlizzi and Mark Zug respectively.

tony diterlizzi's fantasy illustrations are legendary of course, but in particular the phooka/púca from the spiderwick chronicles just sparks so much joy... i LOVE this little creature sm look at him!!!!!!
Yknow, the reason I always pictured goblins with bat noses is because of Tony Diterlizzi‘s illustrations
March 28 of my #365DayArtistChallenge features the artist #AllenDouglas. A lot of his works remind me a little of Barlowe’s fantasy works crossed with his science fiction works, with a little DiTerlizzi and Froud thrown into the mix. It’s really unique. #ArtIsAwesome
March 21 of my #365DayArtistChallenge features the artist #TonyDiTerlizzi. Ever since I first recognized his work on the Spiderwick Chronicles, I’ve been a huge fan. I love his style, and I love the way he often injects a bit of humor into his works. #ArtIsAwesome
"licorice werewolf in peppermint pants by Tony Diterlizzi, Planescape,1995, on square background" again, Dall-E mini. The reason for the subject choice is because I have a vision of one in my head, and the AI is thus far steadfastly avoiding it. #generativeart #dalle #unreality
Last year I featured Tony M. DiTerlizzi an American fantasy artist, children's book creator, and motion picture producer best known for his work on Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons and The Spiderwick Chronicles.
