Some things I'm working on.

Dinah Lance: Deinonychus

Like Babs, Dinah would likely gravitate to the relatively intelligent dromaeosaurs, but she'd take it a step further. Her friend would be an animal twice as large as Velociraptor, whose name means "terrible claw".

Velociraptor was the size of a turkey. Stop calling big Dromaeosaurs Velociraptor, ffs, we have loads of bigger raptors that would work! Achillobator, Dakotaraptor, Utahraptor, Austroraptor, just pick one and stop using the tiny one! God it’s irritating.

Dino Fact:

Acheroraptor (Underworld thief) is a Dromaeosaurid from Late Cretaceous North America! It was among the last dromaeosaurs to ever live, as well as the first one found from the Hell Creek Formation, home to big names like T-Rex and Triceratops!

A selection of images, and there'll be many more to come in 2021. I'd love to make some of this in a zoo building game to use as reference, I just don't have the hardware to run anything good.

Another commission completed! This time a ranger & a pair of hunting dromaeosaurs.

Royal gryphon. My take on gryphons borrows a lot from dromaeosaurs and troodontids.

What if dromaeosaurs did the heron thing?

Zoop!

Approximate size of some Dromaeosaurs I’ve reconstructed recently. From left to right: Dineobellator, Zhenyuanlong, Achillobator, Velociraptor (bottom) and Microraptor (top).

Seriemas are the closest living relatives of prehistoric "terror birds". I also LOVE seriema feet, which have an inner toe held slightly elevated, much like early dromaeosaurs (think velociraptor).

'Shoebill Dromaeosaur'
Shoebills are cool and Dromaeosaurs are cool, so combining them makes them double cool. Right..?

Dromaeosaurs using tools and performing sacrificial rituals~

Yes but the quill knobs, preserved wings in basal forms (microraptor), and preserved wings in more derived forms (zhenyuanlong)definitely had wings and the “raptor” shown here is decades behind what we currently think of dromaeosaurs
