@letterboxd Slowly trying to make it through Scorsese filmography by watching all I haven't seen, and rewatching in chronological order with visually impeccable "New York, New York", then saw new Daniels film in IMAX which was a marvel to behold! Then watched two other Scorsese masterworks.
Hayao Miyazaki. I don't really know any artist my age who hasn't in some way been influenced by the filmography of Miyazaki. Princess Mononoke was my very first anime film and it changed the way I think about what you can do with animation.

Saw The Last Duel the other day. A fantastic historical period piece and another classic to add to Ridley Scott's splendid filmography.
It's well-made and tells a gripping story, but it's a real shame that it's going to likely be a massive box office bomb.

David Bowie’s 1970s discography is like Kurosawa or Kubrick’s filmography. There’s barely a single bad one. Albums like Ziggy are so cinematic, I could easily imagine Bowie having a been a director instead of a rockstar, incidentally a career path his son chose.
It has come to my attention that some of the films in Takashi Miike’s filmography that I’m still yet to see are actually some of his best! If anybody knows where I can get my hands on a copy of any of these bad boys I will gladly bake you a cake! #FilmTwitter #Japan #TakashiMiike
