If you're a fan of Ian Hubert's work you're gonna love this one. Not often you'd see a sci-fi movie with phenomenal cinematography, grounded world-building, captivating chemistry and expanding the ideas (organism gimmick) just enough for it not to be distracting.

Local Man 2. Really enjoyed the first issue and the front/back story showing the 90s team vs the current state of those heroes. Gimmicks aside, it's an effective way to tell the story. Tim Seeley doesn't get enough credit. He's great.

Honestly, I think it's actually gone downhill from the 90s and 2000s.

It's gone from actual diversity in a story, to mostly being used as advertising gimmicks or ragebait. There are exceptions, but it's sad that South Park of all things can do it better.
