👀 I LOVE manganese violet!! The texture definitely comes out more on cold press, but I love using it for the hue in shadows, it adds so much interest... Also, if you like granulation, Schminke makes a really nice Potter’s Pink! I used it all over this piece

Guys!! I'm one step closer to achieving my dream of making art prints!! 😃 I upgraded my scanner and I'm just amazed at the quality of the scans. It even picks up the granulation of the water colors!

Today's is this tiny looped piece of gold held together with granulation. This is probably from a necklace or bracelet in fashion during the 3rd century. This example has been donated to Museum 1/2

A closer look at the painting I did during this morning's live stream. I used various things, from salt to granulation medium and dead flowers to get different textures. I'm thinking of calling it Agate Shore.

As promised, it's Virgil's turn. I loved the granulation here.

Daily Leaf 339: Ok fine, I’ll admit coldpress paper helped to showcase the granulation in paints.

The feeling of my brush catching on bumpy paper still makes my skin crawl, though

More experimenting with effects using . Slightly better result, more control, using Hahnemuhle Aquarelle fine grain 425gms as on third pic rather than smooth coated cartridge. (Quite like this last one a bit like a stream in spate)
