That VRM importer for Blender actually worked pretty well to get a VRoid model into it w/o using Unity as a middle man, which means I can get into Substance Painter, which means I can make it look less VRoid-y (I don't like doing textures in VRoid)

Blender FBX is possible for P5! Using the better importer/exporter https://t.co/6qNGrNRTS4 addon, you can export directly from blender instead of being forced to use 3dsmax.

For comparion, left is blender, right is with blender addon.

It'd probably crash your importer into engine as well as being incredibly inefficient for use in an actual game. It's why we've been doing this process for years where you retopologise the high-res sculpt and bake the details down onto a normal map.

Spent the past two nights writing a Gerber importer from scratch in C# and it renders bang-on perfect. I was honestly expecting this to take more like a week. I threw in the 26 badge to test and it too worked marvelously! Viewing copper, silk, and solder-mask layers. <3
