Just one suggestion, you might be familiar with Takehiko Inoue. He's a traditional manga artist, but your hatching style with one of his things could be a good project. Here are a few pics, the ink wash one is 20 feet tall btw. I also did a mastercopy of one of his:

The third project! For this one, we had to do a mastercopy or an interpretation of a drawing from a pro artist. I chose to interpret "Mediterranean Shadows" by Carolyn Bretell.

Master copy of the painting "Twilight in the Wilderness"- by Fredrick Edwin Church in the year 1860.

This was a painting I did for one of my art classes back in 2017.
