Keep vigilant. mainly rely on their sense of sight and hearing rather than smell when hunting prey. They stalk prey from the rear to get as close as possible. Then they take down their prey with a powerful bite to the neck and/or throat.

Fun fact. They take over 20 years to reach maturity and chicks leave the nest within a few days of hatching and form flocks with unrelated chicks from different nests for protection and enabling them to forage more efficiently for small prey.
