Got something a little unorthodox today but I absolutely love this commission of my newest plane OC (which is based on the F/A-18 c:)

This superb artwork is created by

A cadaverous death strikes in this stained glass window roundel. A reminder that death does not care about status and may strike at any time. Haarlem, Netherlands. 16th cent. ()

Following on from the last group of four.,these roundels are lovely. I spent a while trying to get more information on them but was sadly unsuccessful.

Within the confines of this roundel, the figures of Orpheus & Eurydice are moulded sinuously together through their touch. It is their touch that visually conveys to us their love.

Today's new portfolio from Franz von Bayros is the last he made, the 1920 series entitled 'Lesbischer Reigen' or 'Lesbian Roundelay'. At the peak of his skill and imagination, they are worth careful attention! See them all at https://t.co/jkBYZqXLj6 – enjoy (and retweet please!)

I reckon you could've put a red dot on the star, like on the USAAC/Early US Navy roundels and the "Hap" Arnold Wings emblem.

here's the final design with camo

you can tell it's late war because they've started airbrushing the lozenge camo on instead of carefully painting all the hard edges

man coming up with a lo-vis version of these roundels will be weird...

First up for here's a roundel showing the birth of Mithras. Flanked by his two usual attendants, Cautes and Cautopates, Mithras emerges from a dark cave: ca. 1st Century AD (provenance back to ca. 1905), probably from Egypt.

The bitch got an update.

Not many changes, just species basically :3
Made her face more pointy, and added an RAF Roundel as one of the plug options.

Only major marking change is her back! The last one was too complicated 😰

Superheroification is a plague that preys on the worst attitudes of the contemporary idea of the individual, thought the Suicide Squad movie was utter dreck, but grudgingly admit that the utilization of a C characterform to become a U to activate a type roundel is... simply good

Stay with me on this.... the horrible graphic (but cool pose) on the left re-rendered in the powerful style in the upper right within a roundel... and orange and tan colors like the original mark.

A couple of new versions of an original Victorian roundel, which was damaged in a house fire (top). Such a pretty design, loved painting these.
