Brian Williams was fixing a bulb at the Ponds when they were hijacked by the Doctor and brought to a Silurian Arch in space. The Silurians built the Arch in prehistoric Earth to escape into space.

What disaster were the Silurians escaping from?

Bryozoan-rich stromatolites (bryostromatolites) from the Silurian of Gotland and their relation to climate-related perturbations of the global carbon cycle

The 1st time these are described from the Silurian of Gotland.

Look, all I’m saying is the 70’s Silurians need a proper comeback in Doctor Who. The Series 13 Sontarans look great, why can’t the Silurians look great too?!

Answer, it's series of theca on stipes of graptolites! Coming from famed Dobb's Lin location in Borders of Scotland (aka Ordovician-Silurian boundary)

The Tumblagooda also includes one body fossil, 4. the Silurian arthropod Kalbarria. I have a giant soft spot for arthropods so this one had to go in. The simplified Diplichnites trackways I've drawn here probably belong to something similar to Kalbarria too.

The English, Silurian Herefordshire Lagerstätte preserves 3-Dimensional fossils with soft tissues. Normal fossil preparation methods would destroy these fragile beings leading to computers to recreate them digitally.

The Silurian saw plants and animals emerge on land. Marine biodiversity recovered after the end Ordovician mass extinction. Huge coral reefs developed and fish evolved jaws. Very high CO2. Supercontinent Gondwana dominated the SH. No Ordovician on my chart! 🌎🐟
