🌕 I'm what I might call "a wasted talent" or at least that's how I see myself.
I have the chance to know how to create art as incredible as each other...and despite that I only do the bare minimum to promote them 😔I don't know if it's a lack of motivation or what

"Waste of talent" words said to me that echo constantly through and empty room once full of so much light. Keep on going.

IMHO "Talent" just increases your speed of improvement, but even prodigies have spent hours of their lives honing their skills. You just see the end result.

I started learning how to draw and taking that seriously two and a half years ago -- here's my progress!

is super interesting to discover talents! This is my "talent"

Some more examples of some pathetic '02 kid on the internet NOT being "born with talent" around that time span I mentioned before

Oh, and OP, do me a solid and THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK!

Hey fûckface!

You see these right here? These shît weren't easy, these all took years to improve. I, a random boy born in 2002 wasn't just given this "talent" and just drew Mona Lisa's whenever I wanted

From 2017 - Right Fûcking Now

All of these took EFFORT, PRACTICE and TIME https://t.co/xZVsREmzSb

people with "talent" may have a more instinctive understanding on relating ideas to paper, but skill is cultivated.

here are a bunch of "draw this again" things i did, where i take an old piece and redraw it after some time has passed to see skill improvement.

I wasn't "born" with this "talent" this was hard work and effort put in from 2017 tp 2022. I've spent years working on this skill. Anyone can be an artist. I did not spend hours crying and stressing to have my hard work brushed off as I was born with this skill https://t.co/yEQUQAZT0H

The idea of "you have to be good by age x" is so tied into the "you have to have talent" bullshit and is super, duper harmful.

My art at age 32/3 vs. My art at 36/37.

The difference? Practice. Just practice. Deliberate and focused practice.

✏️ J'ai fait une petite BD pour expliquer des trucs que des gens me demandent souvent au sujet du dessin et du "talent".

J'espère que ça parlera aux aphantasiques qui s'ignorent !

Ok let's go!

Since so much of this business depends on pure luck and networking, I was seeking management/representation.
Friends shared their experiences with me, and I realized maybe I should become the management since I have a comms degree & actual experience managing "talent"

Me, every time I hear or see the word "talent":

I'm not really sure what I want to focus on in terms of my creative "talent" lmfao

Kind of at a low point rn honestly, I feel like my art doesn't pop out enough. I should start practicing digital again 😓 even though doing it gives me bad meltdowns.

Time to put my actual "talent"
Here some drawing I did and an art I wanted to submit sooner but I underestimated the workload.

This is a little present to the community who accepted me 💗💗

Here is my girl! feel free to change up her cutie mark if you want since I never came up with a good one <3 Her "Talent" is making other ponies feel comfortable with themselves no matter how strange they are, they make them feel welcome and accepted, due to her own strangeness!
