I think appearing as a “Not The Spectre” is a really cool idea. Something more writers should do. Unless he’s fighting cosmic entities, Jim appearing as weak, helpless or downtrodden really works for the character in my opinion.

There are a few reasons why.

1.) We haven’t seen him perform any memorable feats in years.

2.) He’s died in almost every recent appearance.

3.) To me, it discounts the characters other good traits.
