Made by AE using the Jamesgun as a base, the Javelin shares many of its parts with its predecessor. Later production units, used during the Zanscare War, were made with completely new parts, however, and it had additional thrusters that made it more mobile than the JG in space.

Here's a better look at Patch, another of our robot characters! These are some preliminary sketches that I did to figure out their general shapes. Patch was originally a spaceship repair bot, which is why they have multiple sets of arms and thrusters built into their feet.

An older airframe design, rebuilt and retooled for a distributed set of thrusters providing a greater degree of mobility and speed, at a slight cost to fine control and stability. The extra thrust also means more and heavier ordnance.

Maybe it's coincidence, but Morrigan's jet thrusters seem awfully reminiscent of the ones Princess Vi has in Samurai Pizza Cats. Darkstalkers was designed to be more cartoony after all.

@toysdream This made me think of the Qan[T]. Shedding limbs and armour for higher performance in space is a pretty cool gimmick. Though here it looks like it just rotated the legs to reveal more thrusters? That's pretty cool too.

On paper, the Zaku II's backpack doesn't seem to have a place for thrusters (the first episode of MSG put them on the bottom). Even ZZ Gundam kept this detail. However the Doan's Island movie just had the curved part open like a hatch.
