@Louiestowell Congratulations! The Leeds Centre for New Chinese Writing (@WritingChinese) holds an annual translation competition. So far, three of them have been for school-age translators. These two picture books were translated by teenagers, a third will be published this year. Superb work!

Translators aren't supposed to be storytellers, they exist to present the original creator's story accurately without inserting a bunch of nonsense that was never intended to be there. Anyone who thinks this way should be barred from the industry.

normally when the group calls wukong "sun wukong" ill put it as monkey king cause thats usually what they say in english, but in subodhis case since he gave wukong his name i'd like to imagine he actually uses it instead of just monkey king
Ironically, WEBTOON and the English translators of Hero Cantare incorrectly translate the actual "Demon King HCLW" as "Master Devil HCLW"
