Blastoise’s cone-shaped tail is further justification for my dislike of the tail of the first two forms. All of the design elements Wartortle built on are just dropped by Blastoise.

On its own merits, he’s a cool mammaloid turtle kaiju thing, and the cannons are rad. 8/10

Wartortle doesn’t really do it for me either. I get what they were going for with the wispy tail and wing-like ear things but it just detracts from what is otherwise a decent design. Easily the weakest of the original starter forms, but still not bad by any means. 5/10
