Call me a basic bitch if you like, but I FUCKING LOVE the frozen north trope. I'm a sucker for ice and snow and swords. That's why I'm not ashamed that the White Winds Mountains of my setting are in the god damned frozen north. Truman, Jusko, Matthews

Many years later, a local fisherman at sea was met by a Mermaid who asked him to raise his anchor, as it was resting on her door and she was unable to reach her children. He obliged and quickly sailed away.

My favourite Cornish tale is that of The Mermaid of Zennor. A mysterious woman who never seems to age enchants everyone with her voice. She falls in love with Mathey Trewella, the best singer of the Parish. They were never seen again on dry land. 🧜‍♀️💙

21st Day of Advent. Standing at the black edge of Zennor Head, the Newcomer was watching the raw winter sun rise on the horizon, gold casting the great Atlantic rollers, herring gulls & fulmars calling from the skies, from the zawn, calling for fish-magic, for their guard-spells.

Small Bukog redesign - then and now. 💜
(left old, right new)

Why? Thanks to @/ZennoreC, I was given plenty of tips on how to improve Bukog's design! Mostly stuff about how to make her a lil more unique and motherly. :D

Sarah Eddy painted this one of Zennor Cornwall. She says she is in love with the area and in facts moved back to Cornwall which had been her home until as a teenager she went to Brighton to work as a theatre performer.

In Zennor, Cornwall, a mermaid would attend St Senara's Church to sing with the choir, although the villagers were unaware of her aquatic identity then. The "Mermaid Chair" where she sat can still be seen today. She soon caught the ear of the churchwarden's son
