胸部。内部フレームも含めて新規部品に交換され、変形シーケンスにも若干のアレンジを加えました。787系の3Dモデルは写真などを参考に、1週間かけて作成してみました。

肩部。車体の壁と屋根の部品が新規設計。普段はスジボリやパテ埋め、Nゲージの分解で対応する部位ですが、3Dプリントは細かなモールドも正確に出せるので便利ですね。

脚部尾翼が完成しました。
安定性を持たせる意味で、最初は広い翼面積に垂直尾翼も加えられていたという設定です。もちろんこれも、漏れなく震電の主翼がイメージされています。メカ感が強い関係で、芳佳ちゃんっぽさが薄れて安心です。

最終更新から4日ぶり。あれから頑張って時間を見つけながら各部を造形。跳ね上がった天井の裏に、ダクト状のノズルも追加。
あとは主翼の曲面成形と裏面などのディテールアップで、このユニットは完成です。

トンボのような2枚の可変翼で、試作型のウイング部分は検討中です。 標準位置で2枚の翼を重ね合わせる事で、試作戦闘機「震電」の翼形が浮かび上がるようになっています。九州飛行機製という事で、ここはお得意の楽屋オチです。

背面部スワローウイングを元にした、翼部先頭車の構成です。787系を11パーツにカットし、位置を決めていきます。デザイン的には後の800系へ繋がるよう、若干シンプルめに。主翼も流用せず新たに設計予定なので位置変更の余地を残し、部品の結合は最後です。

胸部ユニットのスライサーデータ完成。明日はこれを印刷します。
設計と製造を同時進行できるのがこのジョブの良い所。構築完了まで2時間半、その間は肩の設計を行います。
