This is a glaring contradiction. If localizers were truly trying to translate a work as accurately as possible, they wouldn't be consulting with sensitivity readers for their opinion on what's acceptable, they'd be following the original script.

@itsTomokocchi Yes! It's um.. I am almost positive it is Umihara Kawase. There are new games that were localized and I believe Steam has localized versions of the old games like this one.

There are some manga and anime adaptations of Ruby Party games that were localized in the US. I would have believed in your excuse if you used those as metrics. But then again, that was way back in 2008- there are more otome game consumers now than before.
