Even when painting digitally, I still want you to see my brushstrokes and even a little linework. Respect to people who approach rendering with photorealism, but there's something about seeing the impressionistic strokes in a rendering that says 'hey someone painted this!'

Poster version up on the shop. Pixelated rose for the background and some spray paint as per usual. Spring themed. Opinions? 🤔😊

Happy with the final of "12 Revolutionary Art Movements That Have Shaped Our Visual History." Photorealism is a style of art where artists were most concerned with replicating a photograph to the best of their ability.

Many of the great fantasy painters strive for photorealism. They're amazing, but Frazetta achieves something even more impressive to me. He's able to conjure these incredible scenarios from his imagination. They aren't just an imitation of life, they are LARGER THAN LIFE.

Hey ho, I'm an Australian artist living with disabilities and way too many ideas. At the moment I primarily do digital character portraiture for fellow nerd folks, and I have a background of photorealism portraiture, trad art, and illustration.
