Getting accustomed to a new brush, trying out new shading techniques, revisiting Mike from Marketing. Slanted camera angle was there from when I started this morning, and has nothing to do with the 10C tweet today.

Namor being called ‘squinty’ by Hank Pym in reference to his eyes in Avengers (1963) This term is derogatory towards Asian people who have monolids and is a known insult.

Namor is also described with "slanted eyes" - The Defenders (1972)

"I tried to bring the reader along on a trip. To give him a dizzying feeling about the work. If there was any weird stuff going on, I'd slant the panels and throw the reader off-balance. I used that ploy in just about everything I ever did." - Gene Colan

Make stuff in advance. Keep a backlog of content so you can start releasing it regularly. Also, don’t be afraid to take breaks from time to time!

Paneling really depends on what you like, but I opt for tighter shapes & slants during action sequences. Give it personality! 🤩

A cheap trick I use is making male eyes thinner/more slant/sharp edged than females, which I make a bit larger, and then a bit of lines around the edges from wear/long nights/hard work. Eyes and their shape are great at changing the age of a character alone imo

I really like having at least two characters of a race because it helps me contrast them to each other and expand on the uniqueness of each individual character's design.
You can see here that i really went for the upturned slanted eyes with AnKidah which she has in some pieces.
