I’ve been very stressed out lately so I set aside a few hours for a relaxing activity. I haven’t had time for any art recently and it felt so nice.

Went off-theme for today's Here are a few different varieties of the most famous livebearer fish - Guppy (Poecilia reticulata). Illustrating tail fins was real fun, looking forward to draw more varieties.!!

Today's is an actual sketch for once. I drew a Mexican Tetra (bind cave form). I don't know much about these fish, but from pictures, they look translucent. If anyone knows for sure if they're translucent or not, feel free to let me know!

With fins like those, it's probably not surprising that the threadfin rainbowfish (Iriatherina werneri) is a popular aquarium fish! In the wild, they're found in the slow-moving streams and swamps of tropical northern Australia and New Guinea

Late on my because I am fortunate enough to be in Maui right now. Here’s one of my favorite snorkel and scuba companions lately: it’s the state fish of Hawaii, the reef triggerfish, otherwise known as humuhumunukunukuāpuaʻa!

A species that can create its own light in the pitch-black darkness and has males that are basically just parasitic sperm sacs that fuse to the females - nothing says quite like the deepsea anglerfish

It's and crossover and the theme is 'otherworldly'. Decided to Illustrate a few species of chimaera, a very interesting group of fishes! Once super abundant now restricted to deep sea, close relatives to sharks and rays.

Large mouthed fish are today's theme and I see that basking sharks are getting a lot of attention, so here is a Greenland Basking Shark.
