The Herrerasaurus is so cool! This Triassic Dinosaur has been part of the franchise since the first Jurassic Park, seeing them in JPTG was an awesome surprise ~
I wonder what the Herrerasaurus paddock was like and what it would be like to see them on the 1993 Tour :)
Vancleavea is a rad looking critter. Why don't we see it more often, it had a long neck, osteoderms for a TAIL FIN, wicked canine teeth, osteoderm chainmail. Its a truly bizarre organism & that's saying something for Triassic taxa

This is a fun paper, they used synchrotron microtomography (essentially an X-ray powered by a synchrotron) to scan a piece of Triassic dino coprolite (poop) to 3D image all the beetles hanging out inside. https://t.co/2ti8IYipF2
Happy #FossilFriday - Cranial anatomy of Bolotridon frerensis, an enigmatic cynodont from the Middle Triassic of South Africa, and its phylogenetic significance published in @PeerJLife https://t.co/GfqKbbaxIJ

SMIL-ing through the pain? A specimen of the Triassic phytosaur #Smilosuchus shows evidence of extensive bone fractures and healing consistent with #osteomyelitis. In this diagram, all the indicated bones had some kind of fracture! #SciNews #FossilFriday
More #workinprogress on #Nothosaurus mirabilis. I liked the first image I did but I kind of like this one better as an #illustration.

@Microrapterr So here is some of mine! Zupayasaurus takes a sip with Riojasaurus about to chase him off, velociraptor and protoceratops are about to produce some "gryphon fossils" together, some Triassic Ornithodirans and some 3D experiments.
Derpy little quick sketch of a Lystro to end the practice of the Triassic Education stream <3
Last set of illustrations ofTriassic reptiles from the East Coast of the US.

Meet Saturnalia; this unassuming dinosaur is one of the earliest, most primitive Sauropodomorphs; related to the ancestors of what will become the mighty Sauropods. Unlike it's later cousins it was small, fleet footed, and omnivorous. Remains are known from Late Triassic Brazil.
"Triassic deadly swamps" (2016). Liliensternus, Plateosaurus & Procompsognathus. It was my first big (and very protracted) drawing (A3). #paleoart #dinosaurs #pencilart #paleontology #triassic
@KingRexy328 Here's a few examples from across the board: alien ecosystem, fictional dinosaur species, Lost World spec project entry, and hypothetical Triassic sea snake analogue
Dino Fact:
Procompsognathus (Before Elegant Jaw) is a coelophysoid from Late Triassic Germany. It was named after a similar theropod, Compsognathus, though Procompsognathus probably wasn't actually Compsognathus's ancestor like the name would suggest.

Dino Fact:
Coelophysis (Hollow Form) is a coelophysoid from Late Triassic North America. It's really well-known among early dinosaurs, with hundreds of skeletons found in Ghost Ranch. It's thought they came together to breed but were killed by a flood.
