They did touch them up to be in HD and to fit the porportions of the Hyrule Warriors incarnations, of course, but they are still clearly the same model..or based on them heavily..and I kinda find it funny that Zelda's render is based on artwork of Young Zelda rather than Adult.

From left to right it's: Breath of the wild Zelda, Toon Zelda, Young Zelda and Super Smash Brothers Ultimate Zelda. This was a bit of challenge due to the details but I think I did a decent job of them :)

Since people did have some interest in the "doubling Smash palettes" project I started, I decided to take one complete set and try to upscale it to a higher quality! Zelda's were the hardest I've done so far, hence starting the upscaling with it to make it easier on future APC.

Of all the third parties that Zelda's been outsourced too -- Philips, Capcom, Koei Tecmo, BYG -- I think Retro could've been the best of the bunch. I would have loved to see them do a Sheikah spin-off on Wii. Oh well =/
