The aliens (the most important aspect of this) need to have organic looks. They can have elements from the show but they cant be cartoony like in other movies. They can be even scary and wierd at some points. Just dont make them CGI humanoids.

As I've said before, the fact that they had a twist villain in Nutcracker and the Four Realms as opposed to a CGI take on the Mouse King seems like a wasted opportunity. I mean...a large mouse with seven crowned heads! Can't much get cooler than that!
