this is Brooke. he's half kelpie, half unicorn, very Large, and slightly cursed. he spends most of his time in this form and lives in a traveling troupe of fae and humans.

backstory is brewing, but honestly i just felt like designing a big fancy unicorn boy in rocohoe fashion.

Its actually one of the Horses that help ferry people too and from Tir Na Nog. While in the original myth they're white, we wanted something a little more magical.

This is the kelpie! The horse that drowns. ;D

Here's a character I designed sometime last year.

She is a Kelpie, but instead of being a horse, she's a deer. Her antlers are made of coral. Not sure on a name yet... 🤔

I couldn't figure out if they'd be considered centaurs, horse sphinxes or both. So we're going with both. Sphinxtaurs. A kelpie and a banshee. I'm just throwing ingredients into a pot at this point.

More concept sketches fleshed out a smidge

Kelpie: a creature of Scottish lore, believed to inhabit bodies of water across Scotland. In water, it is said to have the appearance of a powerful black horse. But on land it is able to take human form, however – its feet are said to remain as hooves.

Did a thing for ! Wanted to make a kind of Abnormality for a game me and her talk about, Library or Ruina/Lobotomy Corporation! I'm proud how it looks! It's Called The Sea's Shadow. Its based off a Kelpie like wolf and has some concepts of a shark.

thanks again for letting me draw a Kelpie dear I wanted to draw one for so long now but couldn't come up with a cool and realistic design I would like.
And now see him, a perfect seahorsy
it's able to walk on land with hoves, in the water it puts the fins over..
