Hi, I'm an author (The Secret of Zoone is my latest) and creative writing teacher in Vancouver. As a kid, I was in a pilot program for creatively gifted students. I spent grades 4-6 in the same classroom with the same teacher.

Today’s day 1 of Is there any better way to travel than by the winegrower of some majestic magical creature? (It's what I was thinking when I came up with the skyger for The Secret of Zoone.)

day 1: My favorite mode of transport in is the Train of Dreams that flies between worlds, made of white crows, in The Spinner of Dreams. And yes, I realize i'm biased. But honestly a train of birds heading to Dreamland? I'm here for it. 😂 (art )

A5) I've always enjoyed books where the magic wasn't "certain" or the book wasn't high-fantasy, like The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane, or Fortunately the Milk, or Butterfly Lion.

Hi I'm Lee, a MG author and specialized arts educator. I've had a great start to the school year so far, working with lots of young creative writers—including a program for neurodiverse teens.
