Last week I have seen the Royal Pavilion's precious Chinese wallpapers. A finding: one column of the wallpapers has a hunting scene (L) that is extremely similar to one of the wallpapers in the V&A museum, apparently sharing the same composition(R). @Saschaloske @RicardaBeatrix

Nessus still very much alive, and Deianeira apparently in a trance-like state. Heracles (hercules) may be lurking in dense wood around them, but for the moment not visible

Tea canister, slip-cast red stoneware with gilt-metal mounts, made by David and John Philip Elers, Staffordshire, 1690-1698.
The size of these little canisters [13cm high] and the tiny teapots reflects the very high price of tea in this period.

The pastel hues look more like watercolor than oil paint. This looks like a copy of a Van Gogh not an original by him !

Happiest Indigenous Peoples Day! One of my fave projects from the @RoyalAlberta was making these tree/grain illos for the kids's museum, which includes Cree titles.
I found 'Pakwachê ohpikinwa' (Plants in Cree) book at @EPLdotCA recently and I would like to draw more.
Since I watched Top Gun Maverick(?) I would like to introduce some works depicting aircraft carriers. Enclosed Bow Ships of IJN, USN and Royal Navy. Taiho is on display at Yushukan Museum, USS Saratoga and HMS Ark Royal at #MemorialShipMikasa.
The original acrylic painting for this hungry fella is currently hanging at the University of Findlay's Mazza Museum, in the Lea Gallery, for The Enchanted Brush 2022: Mysterious Fathoms.
Go visit the exhibition if you are in the neighborhood!
#FrescoFriday - Discovered in 1755 in the 'Villa at the Royal Stables' on Portici, this subtly coloured panel is usually interpreted as the myth of Galatea and Polyphemus, though other pairings have been suggested. #Roman #Art

Sorry about leaving a trail of bodies in your museum, but, you know.
