Color practice

I wanna figure out color blending but it never seems to look good with my art.. I like the blockiness

I usually wing it but I guess I mostly use bright colors that contrast. For lighting I'll draw in where i want my light to head and then see where shadow and highlights will land. Then I'll just use a blending tool to make the shadows look cleaner.

Then I start going in and with smaller and darker brushes lay in the actual eyebrow hairs (in the pattern they usually grow), while blending the bases of the hairs into the skin. I get smaller and more defined til I deep it detailed enough for whatever I'm doing.

finished this commission for of his custom space marine chapter the Night Vipers! this was a really fun and unique color scheme to do, blending and highlighting the green and blue together, and i absolutely adore the combination🐍💚💙
