Just a friendly reminder that quickly jumping back and forth between the Lasso tool and the soft/spray brush and a soft eraser(or just tab to color pick) is a good way to force your self to mainly think in forms/planes.

Good for practice and it's a quick way to build a scene.

I use this kind of square-ish brush and I sometimes use lasso at the end when I want it to look neat, so I cut out all the edges that are sticking around it, especially around the face. I don't know how to explain, so for example, I didn't do it here:

So idk how many people know but moooost comic colorists will use a super fast technique that basically involves cutting out huge swathes of canvas with the lasso tool and lightening them on a layer mode. So you start with the darkest skin tone and work from there
