Small fact. The colors pages in Team Phoenix's original release (BN) and the color version release are different. We considered color pages in the BN book are a treat for the readers and should be evocative, while the pages in the color version should be focused on narrative.

I'm working on another game for a jam focused on Narrative. The theme stumped me for a bit (Magical Realism), so I worked out a style for the game while thinking of a story. It has taken me a few tries to find a style that I like. I ended up on this.

Handsome Jack. It’s amazing how someone can be so charismatic and hilarious when he spends 80% of the game mocking you through a radio. He’s really one of those villains you love to hate. The game’s narrative also has you questioning if he really is the bad guy in all of this.

I just wrapped up the latest (well, was the latest before I fell behind) arc in the Demon Slayer anime. Although I prefer to preserve the demon race, I can’t ignore the excellent narrative and brilliant artistic style here. If you like dark fantasy, this is a must!
