@sad_istfried I always like to nest the whole scene, duplicate it on top and add blur (10-15%) with opacity (30%-45%) so it looks less crunchy???? and also I add little more blur on the edges so the scene looks even cooler :D

My new artwork for Planet of Fire! I'm quite pleased with how this one turned out. A little bit rough around the edges but I like how it looks. Again, tried to take it down the collection box set style booklet, I hope I've achieved that.

@NickDCarver Yee im in maya atm just with surface shaders for block colour but I think ramp shaders will be the way to go! Ideally id like to have block shadows with a bit of patterned dithering at the edges so will see what I can do!

@sarahkurvinen A cheap trick I use is making male eyes thinner/more slant/sharp edged than females, which I make a bit larger, and then a bit of lines around the edges from wear/long nights/hard work. Eyes and their shape are great at changing the age of a character alone imo
17. What it does pretty much just make edges smoother, more akin to the detailed models you see in the pre-rendered cutscenes in-game.
As a example, KJ's pauldron on the left as it is when first imported VS once it's been Subdivided and the textures have been played around with.

@Majestic_Baffy For to props, I find something in real life that is similar and then taking a picture of me holding it. I've put my heads on desk edges and held big books to get poses like these.
I've even dabbed before which was fun cause I had to embody the character's energy LOL.
@ArtsyGrandpa This is from like 3 years ago but I've always been proud of it. My friend dared me to one layer hero a painting and it was tough, but I like to think I did pretty well. It certainly helped me understand how to pronounce edges when going lineless!
