For the longest time I tried so hard to have an announced style, but that made me feel caged in.
Discovering Jean's art was freeing.
His eclectic mix of work all bear the markings of him.
The fluid shapes, the loose, gestural quality of his figures. All things to love.

His work is varied, it's like a mix of contemporary surrealism and Low brow.
One thing Jean made me realize is to just put in the work, the style will follow.
Here we have two pieces from him, which might as well be two separate artist but feel distinct as his.

Munch did an astounding job at portraying all kinds of feelings through thick and playful brushstrokes.

Edvard Munch touched a nerve and I've never recovered 😅
I've been fascinated with the more emotional, expressive and darker side of things ever since.
I guess it was always there but Munch provided the perfect outlet to explore that side of life.
