This inspired me to look back at the original TFA pirate concept, and in that it was the compound "ng" character. So maybe it meant something else but "RI" is just what they thought it was when adapting the design for Rebels 🤔

Shadow Hands – 30min. spitpaint, happy with the concept, totally not happy with the coloring haha.. the hands/arms are actually just 1 painted one and everything else is duplicated/tinkered with. Ah well, will tinker with this more later.
