From these new spikes growing recently, they are still young and white, meaning they break easily and are vulnerable to attacks. Over time, however, they will harden and turn black if they're left to oxidize. Its spikes grow stronger each time their broken and or regenerated.

My dragon girl Lucille is pretty shy and quiet, and really loves anything punk/goth related and spikes. She also likes to feel dangerous or intimidating looking sometimes as well to any un-invited guests near her home which is in a swampy marsh. :>
