got obsessed with an idea of a moth-beast while watching a soviet version of the beauty and the beast.... so I sketched it real quick.
I’ve been thinking about how we mourn & memorialize animals, and recently thought of “The Lives of Perfect Creatures” at The Museum of Jurassic Technology, portraits of dogs from the Soviet space program, some didn’t make it back (paintings by M.A. Peers). https://t.co/z9w4Rn5Hly
Day 6 in the studies of Russian painters. This one I guess is technically mostly a Soviet painter; Pyotr Kotov. Did you know he studied under the great Fechin?! I didn’t.

What a story! Lena Bergner (1906–1981) was German, a part of the #Bauhaus group, but her most famous piece (Metro, 1932) was done and actually produced (!) in Soviet Russia, as a textile design! Fortunately, she managed to escape the country in 1936.

So here's the deal with Veruca : she isn't going to actually be on the tour. She may be in a follow up comic though.
Her father is a powerful soviet party insider, so Veronika wouldn't let her within a mile of her factory, which only re-opened once the Berlin wall fell btw.
Part 1.
Rey's journey to bring Ben back.
My drawings were heavily inspired by "The Shadow city" from "The Aladdin's Magic Lamp" a 1966 Soviet film by Boris Rytsarev.

Sometimes I think about Mega Man games, and how my favorite character is a Soviet Gordon Freeman who owns a citadel in the middle of Siberia and only appeared in one game. He also looks exactly like my old IT teacher who was awesome, so maybe that's a thing.
@yanareads Anytime I see a dog named Laika I think of the “Dogs of the Soviet Space Program” memorial portrait exhibition at the Museum of Jurassic Technology. Laika by M.A. Peers.
#OTD in 1985: Aeroflot Flight 8381, a Tupolev Tu-134, collides with a Soviet Air Force Antonov An-26 during descent to a stopover at Lviv (Ukraine) The accident was caused by violation of ATC rules by both civil and military controllers. All 94 onboard both planes died.
