Recently rediscovered van Dyck back on the market @MasterpieceFair. It was sold @ChristiesInc Paris in 2010 under an attribution to 17thc Flemish School.

try and search for paintings from the period to try and catch what they wore. learning about court painters can be very handy.
For example, Van Dyck. He was a court painter in Charles I reign. He painted a LOT of court people :)
