Just popping in to to say hi! The cover reveal for PLAY LIKE A GIRL (9/27), a graphic memoir about when I played football in middle school, is happening *soon* 😀 It also has so much more than football—like ice-skating...and terrible makeovers!

Q4 https://t.co/FPEHdorT9h is now in its final chapter. I'll hopefully be done with it within a year. I initially wrote the story in 2013 so it's been a long time coming and I can't wait to share the ending.

A7. My recent awesome reads include KELCIE MURPHY AND THE ACADEMY FOR THE UNBREAKABLE ARTS by (coming out on Mar 1) and THE MANY MEANINGS OF MEILAN by (continuing to celebrate her Newbery Honor/APALA wins!)

Q2 I really like converging storylines, and plots that slowly reveal themselves. "Giant Robo" was a big influence for me, as its story is misleading, and full of unreliable narrators, with the real story only fully revealing itself in the final episode.

Q6 Love the way Kate DiCamillo explores friendship through Louissianna's Way Home, Raymie Nightgale, and Beverly, Right Here. Fresh and unexpected.
