Publishers need to not cheap out on great cover art. Especially with horror content for a younger audience, kids like the overtly creepy and gross. Don’t worry kids can handle it and they’ll thank you by continuing as a costumer. I did and many more will do too.

Growing up in the 90’s Tim Jacobus painted covers for R.L. Stein’s Goosebumps books were everything to me. I can’t stress enough how important they were in starting me on my lifelong love of art, horror, and reading. Publishers need to realize that a great cover WILL sell a book!

Sneak peek! Here's some of the concept art I created for showing "Lost in Taiwan" to publishers. At the time I thought I had to limit the number of colors in the book to keep it manageable (It's a 235 page story). In the end though I decided to go full color. In stores May 2023
