I love a Deadly Nightshade. I actually have a Blackberry Nightshade growing in one of my gardens, and I was worried that it might be hurting the birds. Turns out the berries on the variety I have are harmless and the magpies are just fine enjoying their snack.

I often correct some parts because it doesn't look right or it's to dark and looks kinda claustrophobic in the area (too dark without any light)

Thanks! Hair is my favorite part of a drawing and it shows, heh.
As for how I do it, I usually have three shades for the hair, the base color and a light and darker shade. I go back and forth between the three colors until I get the look I want. Overlay also adds some pop.

Was meaning to post this as well, but eventually, I updated most of my GM models I recolor/kitbash with a lighter shade.

It might only be slightly lighter than before, but it fits MUCH BETTER than the previous shade did! 😅

Extra fun fact: Rian suggested that Rin wears red-white clothes based on an old ZUN drawing (left)
but because Rian was not sure, he suggested green as an alternative (right), this is because if you pass the greyscale green you get a similar shade.
