Oh interesting.
I didn't expect Astro Note to look like a 90s anime, especially the space stuff.
Some shading is modern but a lot of the animation style especially with expressions and character designs are definitely leaning towards nostalgia.

Its a simple shading but honestly i miss doing this type of art 😂 It was fun!
like for example thunderb0lt or rebellion 083, they have minimal tones shading but their lineworks always pops out
maybe I need to be less sterile with lineart like making it more doodly.
My gripes on my own linework is, they look too digital-clean :(

doesn't mean 4 sucks though, well it's sad they removed the "real" gameplay (fashion shows) for expanded lore but eh.
I preferred 1 and 4's cel shading instead of trying to be super 3d like 2 and 3 (which looks uncanny looking imo), cel shades ages better. Also 4's OST is 🔥🔥
@mjamiracat Hey, to be fair, I wasn't able to do this in the past either, then I learned, practiced, and now I can do it!

Soalnya aku perhatiin webtoon tuh shadingnya kaya pake 1 warna yg sama buat kulit, rambut, sama baju, tapi sender gak nemu yg cocok, boleh (cont..)
